Divorce Home Inc. ("Divorce Home", "we", "us") operates the Divorce Home™ and Divorce Home Pro™ websites and the professional membership network. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
From professionals applying for membership: your name, email address, phone number, firm or company name, office locations, and the professional details you provide in the intake: your titles, designations, areas of expertise, services offered, languages, consultation formats and any notes you include.
From members: the profile content you create and maintain (your photo, biography, credentials, specialties, services, languages and office information), your membership standing, and records of your membership payments. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider and never stored by Divorce Home.
From members using the Resource Library: when you are signed in to the member portal, we record which resources you view or download, and when. This is used only by Divorce Home, to understand which resources members find useful and to decide what to produce next. It is never published, never attached to your public directory profile, and never shared with other members or with third parties for their own purposes.
From website visitors: our public website does not use cookies, analytics trackers or advertising pixels. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operations.
To assess membership applications; to create and maintain the public directory profile that membership provides; to administer your membership; to process membership payments; to provide support; to guide which member resources we develop; and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We send commercial electronic messages only in accordance with CASL, and every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We use trusted service providers to operate the platform: our customer relationship system (Keap Inc.), our website hosting and form processing (Netlify, Inc.), and our payment processor (Stripe, Inc.). These providers store and process information on servers in the United States. Wherever your information is processed, it remains protected by our contracts with these providers and by this policy.
A member's directory profile is public by design; that is its purpose. Members choose what appears in their profile and can update it at any time. A profile is published only after the member completes the membership process, and it is removed when membership ends.
We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, and no longer than our legal and accounting obligations require. Applications that do not proceed are deleted once they are no longer needed. Member records are kept for the duration of membership and for a limited period afterwards. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you and request its deletion where we are not legally required to keep it.
Information is protected with encryption in transit, access controls limited to those who need it, and reputable providers with their own certified security programs. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Privacy Commissioner as PIPEDA requires.
You may ask us at any time to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Members can update most information directly through their own profile. To make any request, email membership@divorcehome.pro (professionals and members) or clientcare@divorcehome.com (consumer inquiries). We respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
Our Privacy Officer is Rose-Marie Gimeno, who is accountable for this policy and for the personal information in our care. Questions, access requests and complaints can be directed to her using the contact details below.
When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, for members, note the change in member communications. Continued use of the website after a change means the updated policy applies.
